The exciting, titillating, and action-filled conclusion to Captive in the Dark.

What is the price of redemption?

Rescued from sexual slavery by a mysterious Pakistani officer, Caleb carries the weight of a debt that must be paid in blood.

The road has been long and fraught with uncertainty, but for Caleb and Livvie, it’s all coming to an end.

Can he surrender the woman he loves for the sake of vengeance?

Or will he make the ultimate sacrifice?

Quickie Review:

Captive in the Dark- book 1 ended with a bit of a cliffhanger. I was dying to know what is going to happen with Caleb and Olivia, so I bought this one right away. I will say that for the first quarter of this book I was a bit confused. It didn't follow the same format as the first book and I was a bit thrown off. Book 1 was solely told in the first person by either Olivia or Caleb, it alternated back and forth.

Seduced in the Dark doesn't begin right where Captive left off. Olivia is actually retelling the story to the FBI in this book. As the books continues the events start to unravel. As she tells the story to the FBI, the readers are also hearing for the first time what transpired after book 1. Not only do we hear Caleb and Olivia's POV, but we also hear Matthew, the FBI Agent's POV. It's kind of strange to me, since it's always been about Caleb and Olivia's story. Now the story of this FBI Agent is partially thrown in, but with no real reason, IMO.

I found myself not wanting to read this story since it wasn't what I was expecting or wanting after I finished the first book. Thankfully I kept going, after about 30-40% in it really started picking up. It wasn't so much back and forth but back to more of the main story.

Oh did I want to kill Caleb in this one!! What saved him a little, again, is hearing him POV and really know what's going through his mind. It doesn't make it all better though, because he puts Olivia through HELL!! It's much worse than before. I seriously would have rebelled if I were her. She was degraded far worse in this one, made to totally feel like crap, like nothing ever before.

I was almost going to be REALLY pissed off if these two did end up together. The whole book seemed to be leading to them parting way and never seeing each other, which would have resulted in a FAR worse rating, but thank goodness this is also a romance based book. This book is more like a 3.5-4 Bolt rating! It could have be much better if the start wasn't so rough for me, as well as the FBI Agent side story would have been gone.
