Blurb:
Gideon Cross. As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn't stay away. I didn't want to. He was my addiction... my every desire... mine.
My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful... except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity. We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession...
Quickie Review:
Ohhhh Gideon!! How I love thee, how I hate thee! This book was just a bunch of twists and turns, did I see some of them coming, YES, but the emotions were still powerful! It still amazes me how dysfunctional Gideon and Eva each are and together OH BOY! Watch out! They two are explosive, which is great in the sack and not so great in everything else. This books dysfunctionality (is that a word?) reminds of Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. Gideon and Travis are definitely pretty close in personalities, except Travis isn't a billionaire.
Anyways...Reflected in You begins right where Bared to you left off. Gideon and Eva are trying to work out their issues. We learn more about Gideon and his back story. Why he is the way he is and parts of what happened to him as a child. And the real question of why he is the way he is, anal, obsessive, stalker-ish, controlling, etc. He is the epitome of alpha male to the extreme and then some.
Eva's character evolves also. Readers are able to hear more about what makes her tick. What sets her off. She has major jealousy issues (rightfully so in many cases) but doesn't know how to handle them correctly. Case in point, in walks Brett Kline. I won't say anymore but HOT DAMN that concert was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! *wink wink* Eva also shows her sassy side, which I liked. I don't like the damsel in distress characters and she differently up the anti on this one. She didn't hold much back in this one.
The ending...WOW!! Again, did I have a feeling that's what was going to happen, YES! I will say this though, I LOVED the way the ending unfolded. It wasn't your typical, this is what happened. It made me LOVE this story a little more, make me a little more scared and worried at the same time.
Do I have to mention how HOT the sex scenes were? Okay, YES! I know the first book had some great scenes, but this one was WAY better! Gideon and Eva together are absolutely EXPLOSIVE! Chemistry is off the charts! Gideon the DOM came out to play a little and I definitely enjoyed that.
I am extremely THANKFUL that I don't have to wait a YEAR before the next book comes out. It's slated for New Years, December 31, 2012. Thank GOD! I need more of my Gideon fix!
Concerts will never be the same for me after this, I'll always look to my right, left, front, back or center to see if anyone if trying to pull off a GidEva somewhere. What surprised and hooked me to this book was the anger between these two. The things they were saying to each other was jaw dropping and soul scarring. I want to know if they'll reach a certain level of peace in book 3.
